Fantasy Ethos

Free Rapid Draft Coupon

By: Derrick Eckardt | Categories: Contest, Fantasy Football

Rapid DraftBecause I love my Fantasy Ethos readers so much, I was able to procure a coupon for Rapid Draft for you for a free trial. Well, Rapid Draft’s Jeff Thomas posted it in the comments section of an earlier post (Get Your Own Fantasy Shuts Down). However, I am reposting it here for you so that you can get yourself into a free fantasy football league this weekend, so that has to count for something? I did not have to repost this Rapid Draft coupon, and you may have missed it. How do you feel about that now? Good, glad we are seeing eye-to-eye on this.

For a free trial of Rapid Draft, use the coupon code Go4It. Then, when you are done, let me know what you thought of the game.

Enjoy!

Win a Free Sporting News 2010 Fantasy Baseball Yearbook

By: Derrick Eckardt | Categories: Baseball, Contest, Fantasy Baseball, Sporting News

Sporting NewsI love contests. Especially the kind of contests where it is free to enter, and if you win, you get something of value. The Sporting News is hosting a contest to find burning questions for its 2010 Fantasy Baseball Yearbook. To win a free fantasy yearbook, all you have to do is email a question to which you are dying to know. That simple.

While most fantasy baseball fans have checked out mentally until spring training, there are still thousands of fantasy players who are already contemplating what will the 2010 fantasy baseball bring. Those are the fantasy baseball players who are wondering what fantasy baseball position changes will occur. For some fantasy players, there is No Offseason.

Even though the contest may be out season, I love it. Contests like this are usually pretty cheap, likely to get attention, and help you interact with your users.

If the Sporting News selects your burning question, you will receive a free copy of the 2010 Fantasy Baseball Yearbook. To enter, email your questions to dailymail_bb@sportingnews.com and be sure to include your address. The deadline for entries is Nov. 7.

Upstart Fantasy Soccer Site Needs a Logo

By: Derrick Eckardt | Categories: Contest, Fantasy Soccer, Fut11, New Site

Fut11Fut11.com plans to launch itself in the near future. While it is getting ready to launch, it is looking for a few good logo ideas. In fact, it is currently hosting a logo contest for the a fantasy soccer logo. The designer of the winning logo will in a prize of $295.

All I can tell you about Fut11.com is that the domain was registered on September 3, 2009, and the company is based on Portugal. The name is short and sweet, and makes sense for the product.

I do like the idea of making you logo a public contest, because it helps generate some pre-launch buzz for the site. Personally, I like the logo on the left.

Good luck to all designers!

Best Fantasy Football Team Names Contest

By: Derrick Eckardt | Categories: Contest, Fantasy Football Team Names, Featured Story

With just weeks to go before the start of the fantasy football season, fantasy players have had plenty of time to prepare for the tough decisions: who to pick in the first round, what websites to trust for fantasy information, and most importantly, what should they name their fantasy football team. With obvious Brett Favre, Michael Vick, and Michael Jackson (too soon?) themed team names sure to permeate throughout the world of fantasy football, fantasy players should have plenty of fodder to get their creative juices going.

With that in mind, I am pleased to announce that Fantasy Ethos and The Big Lead are sponsoring a Best Fantasy Football Team Name Contest 2009. All you have to do to enter is submit your best fantasy football team names in the comment field below. There is a limit of three fantasy football team names per person per day. If inspiration strikes you in the middle of the night, feel free to come back the next day and enter three more names. You must fill-out your email in the comment form so that I can contact you if you have won. The contest closes on August 11th, 2009 at 11:59pm, and the winner will be announced on August 12th. Due to some unexpected website downtime, the contest deadline has been extended until August 17th, 2009 at 11:59pm EDT to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to enter ithe best fantasy football team name contest.

Draft AnalyzerWhile it is fun to think and to share favorite fantasy football team names, it would be best to incentive everyone with prizes. Advanced Sports Media is stepping up and is offering the top five fantasy football team names a complimentary copy of its 2009 Draft Analyzer Ultimate Package, which retails for $44.95. Draft Analyzer evaluates the picks in your draft and makes pick recommendations for you. Draft Analyzer is available on the web or your desktop, and it features rankings and cheatsheets from ESPN Fantasy, CBS Sports, Fanball, Accuscore, and RT Sports. This is a tool I have personally used (and paid for myself) the past two seasons, and it has provided me with phenomenal results. If you have the best fantasy football team name, you will get it for free this year!

Do not delay, enter now!
