Fantasy Football Advice from Chris Cooley

By: | Categories: Fantasy Football, Video

Michael Fabiano of NFL.com and the NFL Network recently spoke with Chris Cooley, and the two of them broke down their fantasy football strategies recently on NFL Total Access. Cooley also offers his picks for some rookies who he thinks are capable of producing this season.

This definitely does not qualify as run-of-the-mill fantasy advice since Cooley has a very unique perspective. While we know Cooley has been a fantasy football stud, is a good fantasy football player? With his distinct perspective and amusing personality, I think it is only a matter of time before Cooley becomes one of those most well-known fantasy writers in fantasy sports.

Side note, this is still my favorite Chris Cooley video clip:

How to Get RotoWire Fantasy Football for Free

By: | Categories: Fantasy Football, Free, RotoWire

RotoWireThe economy is hitting everyone to some degree, with feeling it harder than others. Spending money on a fantasy football subscription might be a harder decision these days, so I am happy to see that RotoWire has found a way to still get its subscription fees, while fantasy players get their RotoWire subscription for free.

RotoWire partners with CheckoutFree.com to present the RotoWire for Free. To get the free subscription, users have to purchase or try out another product, and that that product pays the RotoWire subscription fee. While this is an option RotoWire has offered for a while, with the current state of the economy, it might be a much more appealing option this fantasy football season.

In case you were wondering, this was not a paid ad by RotoWire. I think it is a good idea, and something which people should know. So, I wrote an article.

Trench Fantasy Football Focuses on the Unheralded Superstar

By: | Categories: Fantasy Football, New Site, Trench Fantasy

Trench FantasyIf you are the kind of fantasy football player that finds regular fantasy football too boring and even finds leagues with individual defensive players (IDP) a bit too easy, then you are going to love Trench Fantasy. Trench Fantasy is building a game where offensive lineman and nose tackles will bring you to fantasy glory, while quarterbacks and running backs will take their turn riding the fantasy bench. More importantly, Trench Fantasy just received some angel funding which should enable it to bring this game to life.

Trench Fantasy acknowledges that its game is not for everyone. It is targeting that NFL Draft aficionado who has all this great information about the non-skill players, and no longer has anything to do with that information. Trench Fantasy gives the draft gurus a means to flex a few fantasy muscles of their own.

The big question is, are there are enough fantasy players who care about the trench players to want to play this game? Like any new fantasy game, you have to learn what stats matter, and who the studs. If you are interested in playing, there is sign-up on the site to receive notification when the game is available.

As a side note, the most peculiar thing about Trench Fantasy’s recent news is that it has received angel funding from Elite Power, a Sacramento-based electrical contracting company. The connection? Power systems are built by guys in the trenches. Seems like Elite was looking for a new way to invest some funds.

Congratulations to Trench Fantasy on its funding, and good luck on its pending launch!
